oh no not again

Well, what can I say, last year I fell downstairs just before Christmas and broke my hand - sober. This year I have managed to break my thumb - with the additional humiliation of being a little bit drunk. Last year I could be indignant when asked if it was the result of too much partying, this year I have to hang my head in shame! Imagine going to A & E to be faced with posters and leaflets advising on the evils of binge drinking and having to own up that at 47 years old you fell over, outside lapdancing club where you had just been refused entry because one of your part (not me) was too drunk - aaaggghh. This is the sorry state in which I find myself!

Anyway, apart from that all is well, we have the traditional huge Christmas tree, all presents bought and wrapped except the ones for Heidi and Tim - I need to know how to give you some money?

It sounds like you are all ready for this wonderful Christian festival of over eating, over drinking and over spending to be swiftly followed by heart attacks and painful credit card bills, what a fabulous tradition!

Have a great run up to Christmas - presumably you don't get any time off for this so hopefully you will fit in the over indulgence into your weekend.

Bahrain calling Britain

Bahrain calling Britain

Hi guys, you may need to know that my blog name is ohmygodshedidit!!!! That is because I have just figured out how to blog you!!! The woman is not too old to use technology!!!

Firstly, I'm so glad you got there although I have to say that your adventures gave me a good laugh so they were definitely worth it.

We do miss you but it sounds like you are having a great time on the alien planet so we will be visiting to see if we want to set up home there and annoy you. The father figure is well and still behaving like a man who is reliving his lost youth, i.e. playing in the band, growing his hair and generally having a good time.
Middle child is still looking for work and not being successful much to her annoyance - at this rate she will be going to university before she gets a job!!

Baby brother is back at college and already complaining about homework - no change there then.

If the lovely Dr James is reading this then I hope you haven't upset too many patients lately, your bedside manner was very entertaining.

Mary and Tim, thank you so much for all the work you did to make sure that Heidi didn't come home, I'm sure it was all worth it.

We got the photos from Barbara, thank you very much. We will be taking Nanny Viv hers on Sunday as we are meeting her and Lesley for lunch :-)

I wish I had the same sense of humour as everyone else on this site, sorry to be boring but then this is called the parental point of view so I suppose it ought to be a bit grown up in content.
I'll keep reading and enjoying, I love this way of communicating.
